How To Use The 4-Hour Work Day

Updated over 2 years ago
  1. Start by dividing your workday into four-hour time blocks, with 90-minute intervals.

  2. During the first 90 minutes of your day, focus on taking care of your personal self. Spend 50 minutes exercising or taking care of your body, 30 minutes on mental exercises, and 10 minutes on gratitude.

  3. After that, spend 30 minutes on database development, which is the system that helps you manage your contacts, leads, and customers.

  4. Next, devote 90 minutes to professional development activities. This could include reading industry publications, attending webinars or conferences, or networking with other professionals in your field.

  5. Spend 50 minutes on proactive prospecting activities to create new business opportunities. This could include cold-calling, emailing, or networking with potential clients.

  6. Dedicate 30 minutes to connecting with your favorite people, and another 10 minutes to your connectors and referral partners. These are people who can help you generate more business through referrals or recommendations.

  7. Finally, spend the last 30 minutes of your timeblock system on marketing development. Focus on posting to your social media accounts, sending out newsletters, or creating content for your website.

  8. Repeat this time block system every day, including weekends, to maintain consistency and momentum in your work.

By following this system consistently for 80% of the time over a 90-day period, you should see a significant increase in productivity and production in your business.
