How To Import Your Contacts?

Updated over a month ago

We understand that many of our clients already have a CRM or some sort of list they keep up with of all of their customers. We pride our software in being one of the easiest CRMs to import your existing database into in just a few minutes.

In order to begin, you will need to have access to your contacts in CSV format (save as CSV from Excel). You can typically export contacts from other email services (i.e.. MailChimp, Infusionsoft, Constant Contact, etc) into a CSV file. You can find an attached .pdf on how to upload or import contacts.

Once your list is in a CSV file Click here to import contacts and follow the steps below.

Steps to Import Contacts:

  1. Once you are logged into the platform, click on "Profile Image" in the top navigation, and then click on "Import Contacts."

  2. From here, you can download the CSV template based on your contact type (B2C or B2B), and then click on 'Select CSV to Upload.

  3. Once your CSV has been uploaded, you will be presented with a list of field names on the left and drop-downs on the right. The fields on the left are the field names in our system. The drop-downs are column headers from your CSV. Simply match your column headers with our field names.

  4. On the Custom Fields page, you can view the details of your custom fields, and you can also see them displayed here.

  5. While importing the contacts if you want to overwrite the existing contacts, Enable the flag to Overwrite Existing Contact's Categories & Tags by matching existing contacts, based on email address.

  6. Once you completed the process press "Finish Importing."

  7. Once you finish importing contacts, the import process will be displayed. If an error occurs during the import, click the "Download Import Error Log" button to review the issue. To import additional contacts, click the "Upload More Contacts" button. To view the imported contacts, click the "View Imported Contacts" button.

  8. Once you click the "Upload More Contacts" button, you will be redirected to the Imported Contacts page, where you can review the imported contacts.

See below for tips depending which category you currently fall in.

  1. Don't have my contacts saved anywhere.

  2. Have my entire database in my existing CRM.

  3. Have my database in an excel spreadsheet only.

  4. Have my database organized by segments (past clients, referral partners, etc)

1) Don't have my database stored anywhere and starting completely new.

If you are started new then we suggest you create "new contacts" inside our CRM.

2) Do you already have your entire database in an existing CRM?

Export from your CRM and then import your csv into ours.

3) Have your entire database in an excel spreadsheet?

Import the entire file into our system.

4) Database is already organized by type? (Past clients, referral partners, etc.)

Import each segment into the database and then choose the selling system category that best fits the segment you’re importing.

  • Example: Import all your past clients from your csv file at once. On the import page you will select “promoters” on the categories section and under contact type you will select B2C (for consumer). You can also “tag” these users just in case as “Past Clients”

Importing Contacts from Phone

If you're looking to export your contacts from you phone into a CSV file there are several apps to do so through your smartphone. Most do require a paid upgrade for contacts over the first 100 contacts but are less that $10 for one time usage.

In-app search "export contacts from phone" and decide which service you'd like to use. We recommend this one below for a lifetime purchase of $9.99 (as of this writing).

You can click here to go to your Contacts.
